Commercial Garage Door Repair and Installation
Rolling steel, sectional and dock doors for shops, warehouses and garages.
Call now
A commercial door that will not open is a business that cannot receive stock. A commercial door that will not close is a business that cannot lock up. Both are urgent in a way a house door usually is not, and the doors themselves are heavier, cycle far more often, and fail differently.
What we work on
- Rolling steel doors — the slat curtain type on storefronts, loading bays and self-storage
- Commercial sectional doors — heavier versions of the residential door, on shops and service bays
- Dock doors and levellers — the seals, bumpers and hardware around a loading dock
- Security shutters and grilles on retail frontages
- Commercial operators — jackshaft and trolley units rated for high cycle counts, with their own control stations and safety edges
Why commercial doors fail sooner
Cycle count. A residential door might open four times a day; a busy service bay or a distribution door might do it forty. Springs, cables, bearings and operators all wear on cycles, not on years, so a commercial door on residential-grade parts fails constantly. Fitting high-cycle springs and a properly rated operator is usually cheaper across two years than the callouts it prevents.
Impact damage
Forklifts and delivery vans hit doors. On a rolling steel door the slats bend and bind in the guides; on a sectional door a section deforms and the rollers jam. Both are repairable, and both get more expensive the longer the door is forced to keep running against the damage.
Safety hardware
Commercial doors carry safety edges, photo-eyes and, on rolling doors, fire release mechanisms. These are the parts that quietly stop working and that nobody notices until an inspection or an incident. If we are on site for something else and a safety device is disconnected or bypassed, you will hear about it.
Getting you closed tonight
When a storefront will not secure, the first job is making the premises lockable — even if the full repair needs a part that has to come in. Tell us what the door is doing and what time you close.
